Randall Reed's Prestige Ford Lincoln Mercury Introduces Vehicles, Raises Funds for Komen
On Oct. 15, more than 90 people joined Randall Reed’s Prestige Ford Lincoln Mercury in celebrating a Star-Studded Evening and raising money for Susan G. Komen for the Cure. The event was part of a nationwide celebration kicking off the arrival of the Lincoln MKT, MKZ and MKS with EcoBoost to showrooms around the country, but also provided guests with an opportunity to raise $20 for Komen for the Cure by test driving one of the new vehicles.
Several members of the local Red Hat Ladies came to support the breast cancer organization, and the North Texas Region Lincoln and Continental Owners Club held a vintage car show to highlight the rich past of a vehicle with a bright future. In addition, writer Andrea Ridout spoke about green issues, an appropriate topic at an event introducing the EcoBoost technology to Lincoln drivers. EcoBoost is a global Ford strategy to deliver the power that customers want, along with the fuel economy that they need. Combining gasoline direct injection with twin turbochargers and a smaller-displacement engine, EcoBoost can match the power output of larger, naturally aspirated engines while yielding torque and fuel economy gains.
